Call me Miranda. That's a pseudonym I adopted when my 14-year-old autodidactic daughter decided to go to public school half-time, and I decided to be more protective of our privacy. We are unschoolers in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

Meg at Get In, Hang On wrote a post refuting objections to unschooling or homeschooling. I think she nailed it. I just wanted to make sure anyone who stops by gets a chance to see it.

They don’t accept what they are taught as fact, they question it, figure it out for themself…
isn’t that the ultimate goal of teaching independence??!!
